Repetitive strain injuries (RSI) are among the most common workplace injuries – the TUC (Trade Union Congress) has stated half-a-million UK workers have reported symptoms that add up to a collective loss of 5.4 million working days each year.<\/p>\n
Added to that, six workers will leave their job every day due to chronic RSI.<\/p>\n
It’s estimated this costs UK industry anywhere between \u00a35 billion and \u00a310 billion every year.<\/p>\n
RSI is a term for the pain felt in muscles, nerves and tendons that is caused by repetitive movement and overuse, usually in the upper body, especially the hands, wrists, forearms, elbows, shoulders, back or neck.<\/p>\n
RSI is caused by prolonged repetitive activity, which can be anything from working on an assembly line, on a shop checkout or even just regularly typing on a computer and using a mouse.<\/p>\n
