In fact, it is best for the longevity of the battery, if it is only ever charged to about 80 percent. Incidentally, it is even worse than just charging to 100 percent that the mobile phone is still connected to the charger, even though the battery is already fully charged.<\/p>\n<h3>Don&#8217;t let it drain to 0%<\/h3>\n<p>Also harmful to the cell phone battery is its complete discharge. This can cause lasting damage to the ion cells if it happens frequently. Of course, modern batteries are built to not directly sacrifice their performance when dropped to 0 percent. Nevertheless, care should be taken to connect the phone back to the charger when the battery is about 20 to 30 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, if you have a second device that you rarely use, you should take care not to store the mobile phone with completely drained battery. This hurts the ion cells in the battery enormously.<\/p>\n<h3>Use the correct charging cable<\/h3>\n<p>Not only the charging time, but also the charging cable and the power supply have an effect on the lifespan of the smartphone battery. As a general rule, you should always use the original accessories or replacement compatible with the device. Otherwise, charging often takes longer or damages battery performance in the long run. By the way: high-quality power supplies end the connection to the power grid as soon as 100 percent is reached, thus preventing the extremely harmful continuous charging.<\/p>\n<h3>Don&#8217;t get too hot or cold<\/h3>\n<p>Both in winter and in summer it is important to protect the smartphone from extreme temperatures.
